What causes spatial carbon inequality? Evidence from China’s Yangtze River economic Belt

چکیده
Detecting spatial carbon inequality is critical to achieving regional emission reduction targets from the perspectives of ensuring equality and efficiency. While previous studies have measured identified its drivers, few explored these drivers at a sectorial level. Taking China’s Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) as case study example, this explores sectoral level reveals following key points. (1) The heterogeneity in CO₂ emissions driven by economic factors increased 2002 2012. (2) wide differences are per capita final demand, production structure, demand structure. (3) Driven intensity, structure effects, Electricity heat supply, Smelting pressing metals, Nonmetal mineral products become most sectors aggravating inequality. (4) middle lower reaches YREB emit more aforementioned sectors. Our findings support implementation coordinated plans region.

Green economic efficiency and influencing factors analysis of the Yangtze river economic belt in China
For a long time, China's economic development ignore the constraints of resources and environmental costs but onesided pursue GDP. In 2014, the State Council issued a document to develop the Yangtze River economic zone into a "green ecological corridor". The green development of the Yangtze River economic zone is of high-profile. This paper attempts to consider the resource and environmental fa...
متن کاملHuman Capital, Education, and Entrepreneurs: Evidence from the Yangtze River Delta
This paper seeks to examine the relationship between education demand and entrepreneurs in the process of enhancing the growth of human capital in China. We develop a theoretical model that incorporates the important roles played by human capital, education and entrepreneurs. Then, we derive an immigration condition under which the demand for education depends on the existence of entrepreneurs....
متن کاملPseudoalteromonas lipolytica sp. nov., isolated from the Yangtze River estuary.
A strictly aerobic, Gram-negative, non-pigmented bacterial strain, designated LMEB 39(T), was isolated from a seawater sample collected from the Yangtze River estuary near the East China Sea and was examined physiologically, chemotaxonomically and phylogenetically. The novel isolate was motile by a single polar flagellum and positive for nitrate reduction and decomposition of casein, gelatin, T...
